What No One Tells You About Healing / Spirituality Until You're In It
The messy, magical, confronting, and ultimately freeing truths nobody warns you about.
You know those moments when you think, “Shouldn’t I be over this by now?”
Or when you've journaled, meditated, pulled cards, saged your whole house and STILL feel like a raw nerve? Yeah. Same.
Everyone talks about the glow-up. The rituals. The reclaiming.
But no one really talks about what healing actually feels like once you’re deep in it.
So here it is - the unfiltered truth.
When you start doing the work - somatic, spiritual, energetic - what you’re really doing is inviting up everything you’ve suppressed.
Old grief. Rage you swallowed at 9 years old.
The tiny betrayals you learned to brush off.
The part of you that’s been screaming “I’m not okay” under your ‘togetherness.’
That stuff doesn’t disappear overnight. It comes up to be seen. And it’s messy.
But that’s not failure. That’s progress.
And it's why we anchor - not bypass.
It’s not all love and light. Sometimes it’s grief and grit.
Sometimes it’s crying on the floor, then laughing five minutes later, then wondering if you’re losing your mind.
This is the void.
The shedding.
The descent.
And it’s sacred.
If you’re in the part that feels dark and uncertain - don't go down the spiral of thinking you're broken or there's something wrong with you. Because this process can have a messy middle stage. Or a messy beginning. Or it can swing in between messy and beautiful many times.
When your nervous system has been on high-alert your whole life, safety can feel boring.
Stillness can feel scary.
Pleasure and joy might even feel wrong.
But when we come back to the breath - to the body - we start building a new baseline.
This is where the healing lives.
Not in the perfect morning routine. Not in the next oracle card pull.
But in the moment you choose to come back to yourself.
Here’s the truth no one talks about: healing changes your energy.
And not everyone will come with you.
You’ll outgrow dynamics that once felt like home - even if they were toxic.
You’ll start to crave depth. Clean energy. Sacred spaces.
And some people won’t like that.
Let them go.
You're not here to be palatable. You’re here to be your full, unapologetic self.
And it can also feel really fkn lonely in that in-between stage. As some friendships and relationships die away and before you’ve found your new friendships. This part can suck, I’ll be honest with you. And, it’s so worth it! Hang in there, try new things, strike up convo’s with people and see where it takes you. Let your curiosity guide the way.
Healing is not a five-step process.
It’s cyclical. Wild. Full of detours and deep initiations.
But it’s also the most intimate thing you’ll ever do for yourself.
So if you’re in the thick of it right now - disoriented, cracked open, raw - keep going.
This is the part where the magic starts to find you.
And it DOES get better.
It can swing in roundabouts and sometimes life throws curveballs but as you do more of your inner work you become better equipped to handle the shit thrown at you.
