So, what actually is breathwork?
Breathwork is a somatic practice that uses conscious breathing patterns to access your nervous system, release stored trauma, and shift stuck energy in your body.
Here's the thing:
Your body remembers everything your mind has tried to forget. Every time you swallowed your NO. Every time you performed safety instead of feeling it. Every time you abandoned yourself to keep the peace.
That shit doesn't just disappear because you understand it intellectually.
It lives in your tissues. Your fascia. Your nervous system. And it shapes how you move through the world—your relationships, your boundaries, your capacity to feel safe in your own skin.
Breathwork bypasses the thinking mind and goes straight to the source. It creates the conditions for your body to release what it's been holding, so your energy can finally be freed up for your actual life.
Some people cry.
Some people laugh.
Some people have wild cosmic visions.

In-person 1:1 breathwork sessions are available in Auckland (Titirangi and surrounds). All coaching and group breathwork events are available online via Zoom, with clients across New Zealand, Australia, the UK, and the US.
MY APPROACH TO BREATHWORK
I'm trained in trauma-informed breathwork, which means:

✓ I hold space for ALL emotions - rage, grief, joy, numbness - without trying to fix or redirect
My style:
I create a grounded, safe container and then get out of your way. I trust your body to know exactly what it needs to release and when. I'm not here to perform healing for you or extract emotions you're not ready to move. I'm here to witness, hold space, and remind you that you're safe to feel.
I use music, guided visualization, and specific breathing rhythms tailored to what we're working with. Some sessions are activating and cathartic. Some are gentle and integrative. Your nervous system leads.

For when you know one session won't be enough. Regular breathwork builds on itself - your window of tolerance expands, the layers deepen, and the shifts compound. Three sessions to be used within six months, payment upfront.

A 2-2.5 hour session at a location of your choice, explanation of breathwork and how to do it, a full 60min breathwork session with a personalised Spotify playlist and integration/support at the end.
Within Auckland or elsewhere in New Zealand. Corporate bookings have a minimum price of $700

Breathwork Events
My signature three hour breathwork events held regularly in Auckland and occassionally around Aotearoa and Australia.
These is a great lower cost option thats in depth and held by one of the countries top facilitators.

What happens during a breathwork session?

You book in your breathwork session and will recieve an email - either from me with the address, parking info etc or if you’ve booked a space at one of my events you’ll get an email from Humanitix with your ticket.

Have a light meal beforehand - you dont want an empty belly but you also dont want to have just eaten a big meal either. Think of it as having a bit of gas in the tank.
Arrive a bit earlier especially for an event so you can find parking. Come into the venue or my breathwork studio just before starting time.

Now you’ve arrived, been greeted by me and settled in. In a 1:1 session we’ll chat about what your intention is, what you want to get out of it and what you’re going through lately.
I’ll always properly explain how to do the breathwork technique and ways you can alter your breathing as well as what may or may not happen during your session so you are well prepared.

You’ll be laying down during and the first 5-10mins it can feel like work or effort. Pretty quickly your breath will take over and it becomes more effortless.
The first part of the breathwork journey is the activation part where its intentionally activating the sympathetic nervous system. Typically the first half is where trapped/stored emotions can be released.
The second half is the downregulating side where you’ll switch into the parasympathetic nervous system which is where the deep rest, calm and clarity drop in.

After your breathwork journey you’ll be able to ask me questions about what you experienced or get guidance and support from me.
I’ll explain aftercare (drinking plenty of water, ways to look after yourself and energetic hygiene).
You’ll leave feeling refreshed and amazed at how 60mins of breathwork felt more like 15mins!

CONTRAINDICATIONS (WHEN BREATHWORK ISN'T APPROPRIATE)
Breathwork is powerful, which means it's not for everyone. Please consult with your doctor before booking if you have:
Cardiovascular issues (heart disease, high blood pressure, history of stroke)
Respiratory conditions (severe asthma, COPD)
Pregnancy (first trimester especially)
Seizure disorders or epilepsy
Severe mental health conditions (active psychosis, unmanaged bipolar disorder)
Recent surgery or physical injury
If you're unsure, let's talk. I'd rather have a conversation upfront than have you book something that's not right for your body.
I went to my first breathwork workshop genuinely skeptical. An hour later, when I opened my eyes, I silently mouthed "holy shit" at the facilitator. I knew something had shifted.
Over the next two years I lived with a breathwork facilitator and helped hold group workshops for some of NZ's most well-known practitioners - before completing my own Clarity Breathwork training. Since then I've guided thousands of people through sessions: private 1:1s, group ceremonies, corporate settings, and coaching containers.
Watching people change - quickly, genuinely, in ways they didn't expect - is the whole reason I do this.
